Inverter air conditioning signifies the ability of the unit to continuously regulate its thermal power flow by altering the speed of the compressor in response to cooling demand.
Traditional reverse-cycle air conditioners use a heat pump that is either working at maximum capacity or switched off, as the compressor's speed cannot be varied. In order to regulate temperature of the room, a thermistor is used to measure the ambient air temperature and switch the compressor on when the ambient air temperature is too far from the desired temperature.
Eliminating stop-start cycles increases efficiency, extends the life of components, and helps eliminate sharp fluctuations in the load the air conditioner places on the power supply.
Ultimately this makes inverter air conditioners less prone to breakdowns, cheaper to run, and the outdoor compressor is generally quieter than a standard air conditioning unit's compressor.
The higher initial expense is balanced by lower energy bills. In a typical setting the pay-back time is about two years (depending upon the usage).
After the indoor temperature approaches the set temperature, Inverter Control adjusts to low capacity operation to maintain this temperature. This makes inverter models more energy-saving than non-inverter models, which must repeatedly start or stop their compressors to maintain the room temperature.

AViruses were suspended in a 1m3 box with a Plasmacluster ion density of 7,000 ions/cm3. The percentage of airborne viruses inactivated was 99% within ten minutes.
When the Plasmacluster ion density was increased to 50,000 ions/cm3, the percentage of airborne viruses inactivated increased to 99.9% within ten minutes.
